Exploring Determinants Of Exports: A Study Of South Asian Countries.

This study explores the major determinants of exports. The empirical analysis is supported for emerging South Asian countries Pakistan, India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka. We are using time series data covering a period from 1980 to 2015. General to specific methodology with encompassing technique developed by Harvey et al.., (1998) employed to discover a single model. We also employed Johansen Maximum Likelihood Method of Co-integration, Error Correction Model (ECM) and Granger Causality test for long run relationships. We found from empirical results that there is short run and long run relationship exist between exports and its determinants. The observed findings of this study are useful for the policy makers which helps to set a desired monetary policy for the South Asian countries. Supervisor:- Dr. Atiq ur Rehman
